Love mushrooms? Want to learn about the native species from a passionate local mushroom forager? Come and learn about all of the fungi that grow at Living Hope Farm. See the wide range of mushrooms that coexist with a proper management of the land.
The forage will be held at 5-6pm on September 16th at Living Hope Farm. 461 Indian Creek Rd, Harleysville, PA 19438
In this small class you will walk around Living Hope Farm and see everything that is popping in the area. Also learn about some edible local mushrooms and medicinal local mushrooms. The importance of a healthy fungal ecosystem will be highlighted.
Be sure to wear good hiking shoes or sneakers as much of the walk will take place on a steep incline. We recommend that you wear long pants as there is a lot of underbrush. Bring a willingness to learn. There will be time for questions during and after the forage.It is $20 person for the foraging tour. Children under 12 are free. We are walking through the woods so small children will need to be carried or supervised.
